Jun Tsusaka
Jun Tsusaka is Partner as well as Managing and Representative Director of TPG Capital - Japan, Ltd. Jun is also a member of the Global Investment Committee and is a member of the Partner Selection Committee.TPG Capital is a global buyout group of TPG, the private investment firm with about $54.5 billion of assets under management. Portfolio companies in which it has significant ownership operate in more than 130 countries. Since 1992, TPG Capital and its Principals have had lead responsibility for more than 150 transactions, investing more than $34 billion of equity capital across a number of different economic and credit cycles. TPG Capital has more than 300 professionals in its 14 offices globally with Tokyo being one of the firm's six offices in Asia-Pacific.
Jun joined TPG Capital in 2006 after being the Co-founder and Principal of Brera Capital Partners, a $680 million investment fund in New York for ten years. He had started his career at Merrill Lynch in Tokyo in 1983 before moving to the U.S. in 1986, where he worked in various senior positions at Goldman Sachs and was the Managing Partner of the Stenbeck Group Family Office in New York. He also served as Senior Executive Vice President and Director of Millicom International Cellular S.A. and Chairman and CEO of GAB Robins, a leading company in global risk management services. Jun serves on the boards of directors at Avon Products Company Ltd., Joint Corporation and the Harvard Club of Japan. He also serves as a Special Advisor to the Chairman at Tomy Company, as Chairman of Avon Products Company and as Director of Joint Corporation.
In 1988 he graduated with Distinction from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration following a B.A. degree in Economics and East Asian Studies from Harvard University in 1983.
