Paul Ford

Paul is a Director in the KPMG FAS Co., Ltd. Transaction Services practice in Tokyo. Paul specializes in cross-border transaction due diligence and deal execution, with a focus on private equity and technology transactions for both buy- and sell-side mandates.

Paul joined KPMG in 1994 and worked in Canada, USA, Hong Kong and Japan before leaving KPMG in 2006 to join his client PineRidge Partners, a middle-market Japan buyout fund focused on the resort, manufacturing and media sectors. Paul returned to Canada in late 2007 to take on the role of Vice-President Finance for an early stage Canadian life sciences software company, where he was responsible for raising several rounds of private equity and debt financing. Wanting to apply his private equity and technology industry experience in an advisory role, Paul returned to KPMG Tokyo in 2011 and has since supported inbound and outbound transactions in the retail, technology, manufacturing, resource and other sectors.
